Services & Pricing

Calibre K-9 Mobile Grooming uses a bathing beauty system with water that is infused with oxygen to leave your dog’s coat clean and skin healthy. The deep, gentle massage action helps to evenly distribute the right amount of shampoo and conditioner for your dog’s size. Their eyes are always protected and I use a tearless shampoo to prevent contamination in the eyes.

I use a combination of towel drying and a gentle massage, followed by gentle hand drying.

I then trim and style your dog based on their personality and ease of maintenance for you and your preferences. Very matted dogs will be shaved for the comfort of your dog. Please see section on matted dogs

Each groom includes:

  • Deep cleanse warm hydro-massage with specialized shampoos and conditioners

  • Hair cut/styling according to breed standard or your specification for coated dogs

  • Sanitary Trim (if needed)

  • Complete brush out

  • Collar bow and cologne

  • Teeth checked

  • Nails trimmed

  • Foot pads trimmed of hair (if needed)

  • Ears cleaned and trimmed.  I do not pluck ear hair but I do trim closely to allow healthy air circulation. Plucking causes hair follicles to be exposed to bacteria, causing high risk of ear infection. If your vet wants this procedure to be done, please ask them to do it as I will not be held liable for painful ear infections.

  • Anal glands checked and expressed (if necessary). As this can be an invasive procedure, and anal sacs are easily ruptured, this is done gently. If I feel it is impacted/clogged, a veterinarian will be the only one who can clear out the anal sacs internally. I would want to prevent any possible infection of the anal glands if your dog may be prone to it and would recommend a vet if necessary.

Grooming Time

Grooming salons service a large volume of pets and usually juggle 2-5 at a time extending the process and adding stress to you and your pet. When you use a mobile grooming service, your pet will receive one-on-one attention from start to finish. Grooming times normally average 1 to 2 hours per pet, but can vary depending on the breed and condition of the coat. Your pet is never caged in a room filled with other barking dogs and is never left unattended. Depending on your dog’s temperament, size and complexity of the groom, the process will take approximately:45 – 60 minutes for Bath and Brush

  • 1 hour for Bath and Brush/Mini Groom
  • 1 ½ – 2 hours per dog for Full Groom
  • Larger dogs, dogs that are matted and dogs that are ‘difficult’ can take 2 hours or more

De-shedding Treatment – this treatment dramatically reduces shedding. By reducing the amount of pet hair, you are reducing the amount of dander and airborne elements that cause allergic reactions in many people. Plus, the de-shedding treatment leaves your dog’s coat shinier and softer than ever! Will be used on pets I feel would benefit them and their family.

As every dog is individual and there are many variables to grooming, I welcome you to contact me for pricing. Variables include your dog’s coat, the condition of this coat (and whether it is in good condition or matted), your dog’s temperament and also based on your pet being groomed at 4-6 week intervals for optimal results. Please remember this is a personalised, one-on-one premium service.
